The Riggs Creek flux station was located within the Goulburn-Broken catchment, approximately 40km south east of Shepparton, Victoria.
It was established in November 2010, became inactive in July 2017, and was managed by The University of Western Australia .
The Riggs Creek Flux Station was part of a larger program, The Carbon Project . The flux station was part of the Australia Flux Tower network (OzFlux) and the international FLUXNET .
This site contributed to the Australian Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network TERN . It was funded though an ARC Linkage grant, in conjunction with generous contributions from the Victorian Department of Sustainability , Catchment Management Authorities , EPA Victoria and Kilter Pty Ltd.
