Introduction

The Riggs Creek flux station was located within the Goulburn-Broken catchment, approximately 40km south east of Shepparton, Victoria. 

It was established in November 2010, became inactive in July 2017, and was managed by The University of Western Australia external link.

The Riggs Creek Flux Station was part of a larger program, The Carbon Project external link. The flux station was part of the Australia Flux Tower network (OzFlux) and the international FLUXNET external link.

This site contributed to the Australian Terrestrial Ecosystem Research Network TERN external link. It was funded though an ARC Linkage grant, in conjunction with generous contributions from the Victorian Department of Sustainability external link, Catchment Management Authorities external link, EPA Victoria external link and Kilter Pty Ltd.
