Introduction

The French Island flux station is located on French Island in Westernport Bay, Victoria. The tower is located in a salt marsh on the South-West tip of the Island.

The tower was established in early March, 2019 and was installed and is currently managed by the Coastal Research Group external link within the School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment external link at Monash University external link. Specifically, by Mr. Matthew Peck and Mr. Leigh Burgess.

The French Island flux station is supported by Parks Victoria external link and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning external link (DELWP).
