Introduction

The Oxford flux station was setup to follow the change in ecosystem carbon of a pasture after removal of grazing animals and the establishment of a native forest. It is located on the Canterbury Plains in the South Island of New Zealand.

The site was established in October 2005. It is managed by Landcare Research external link and is supported by core funding from the New Zealand Ministry of Science & Innovation.
